Very large apartment, rich in charm and history. For more than a century it has been inhabited by the church. The location is very beautiful with a view of the sea and the village. The entrance is from the famous Via Carducci, dedicated to the poet who so loved this city, and from whom it took its name. Location description
  • In the heart of the Etruscan Coast, nestled in the top of a hill overlooking the surrounding countryside and the sea, Castagneto Carducci, a beautiful medieval village in Tuscany, is developed around the Gherardesca Castle, built around the year 1000.
  • The village has paved streets, natural terraces overlooking the sea and the countryside, a pleasant square, ancient craft shops, and of course restaurants.
  • The village, originally called Castagneto Maritime, has changed its name in the early twentieth century to honor the great poet Carducci, who spent part of his life here.
  • Halfway between Castagneto and its Marina, lies Donoratico,  full of  commercial activities and crafts. It is also known for building boats and racing boats. The best beaches are those of San Vincenzo and Baratti.
  • The hot springs of the Etruscan Coast offer wellness holidays and relaxation.
The spa of Venturina (water-sulphate-calcium-magnesium bicarbonate in water at 36 °.) and of Calidario, offer treatments for health and well-being.
  • There are two excellent golf courses in the vicinity:
  • Punta Ala Golf Club, next to the sea, and Il Pelagone, close to Gavorrano.
  • On the hills overlooking the sea, or immersed in the countryside, medieval villages of the Etruscan Coast are real jewels of ancient historical and cultural traditions. Castagneto Carducci, Bolgheri, Suvereto, Campiglia Marittima, Bibbona, Sassetta, Rosignano Marittimo and Populonia preserve examples of an ancient history of civilization.
